May was a month of unexpected alchemy. Not only did Makeup By Remi receive the prestigious Webby Award, but we also had the privilege of contributing to another triumph – this time, in the realm of gaming. Jam City HQ, creators of the enchanting Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, were honored with the award for Best Action and Adventure Game at the 28th Annual Webby Awards, and Makeup By Remi was entrusted with the men's grooming for this momentous occasion.
The ceremony, hosted by the captivating Amber Ruffin, unfolded at the elegant Cipriani Wall Street, an atmosphere charged with the electric energy of digital innovation. As the men's grooming team, my focus transcended mere aesthetics. It was about amplifying the inherent charisma of James and Oliver Phelps, ensuring they exuded an effortless confidence that befitted their achievements. Under the dazzling lights of the stage, a subtle touch of concealer and a dusting of translucent powder were all that was needed to enhance their natural radiance, allowing their personalities to truly shine.
This experience was more than just applying makeup; it was about contributing to a narrative, a story of creativity and triumph. It was about understanding that true beauty resides within, and that our role as Makeup Artist in NYC is to simply illuminate it.
